A Note from the Headteacher 25th January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are all well and are managing to stay safe & healthy. As we enter Week 4 of the Spring term - and thanks to your wonderful support - it has been another successful week of remote learning and in-school provision.

Launching live MS Teams sessions with the children has proved to be a great success and has boosted engagement and wellbeing. Staff have reported that it was lovely to see the children's happy faces and I want to thank you again for all your help and encouragement - it has been a tremendous team effort and I am so proud of children, parents, and staff alike. The entire school community are on a steep learning curve and we are continually refining and further improving our remote learning approach. The staff have been fantastic at taking on new skills and ideas at such a rapid pace. It has been brilliant to see some of the great work that the children are uploading onto dB Primary and it is clear that many are trying really hard with their learning - keep up the good work!

On that note, and in light of all that has changed over recent weeks and months, we have updated our Remote Education Policy, which you can find on the website.

Finally, in the previous Newsletter I omitted to say “Thank you” for the cards, presents and messages of support that you sent into school at the end of last term. So, I’d like to say a very big belated “Thank you.” They really do mean a lot, especially at this difficult time.

Best wishes,
Mrs C Lansdown
