A Note from the Headteacher 16th December 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is hard to believe that it is the end of the Autumn Term and that the holidays are fast approaching. The past 16 weeks have provided many challenges but together we have accomplished a great deal. A huge thank you to you all for helping to keep everything at school going as normally as possible, despite the national emergency.

As I said in my last newsletter the children have been so resilient coping with all the changes and restrictions in school due to COVID but despite this, it has been a fabulous term of learning and inspiration from our amazing school community. We have been busy the last couple of weeks with Pupil Progress Meetings looking at the development and progress the children have made this term and are busy planning for learning in January to continue with this.

Given the size of our school community of over 880 individuals we have so far had a small number of cases which we have managed to contain by quickly closing class bubbles. Thank you to you all for helping by following COVID safe advice from the Government and in our school Risk Assessment (see our website).

It has been fantastic to hear Year4 and Reception rehearsing for their Christmas class productions - the quality of singing in particular has been amazing. I hope you enjoy watching their performances on dB Primary.

I wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable break over this festive period and a better New Year for us all. We look forward to seeing you all at the usual time on Tuesday 5th January 2021!

Best wishes,
Mrs C Lansdown
