At Stanburn Primary School we actively promote pupil independence and leadership opportunities with the aim of developing valuable communication and organisation skills. We believe that it is vital for our pupils to have a voice and be involved in key matters related to our school.
The Stanburn Pupil Parliament is a vibrant and respected body within the school. It runs each academic year and consists of two elected members from each class from Year 2 to Year 6. Meetings are held on a regular basis and facilitated by members of our teaching staff. Children share new ideas or matters that need to be discussed, feed back from consultations with their classes and bring thoughts and resolutions on issues affecting their peers.
Outcomes of these discussions are shared with the Senior Leadership Team who consider, discuss and respond to the issues raised.
