This week year 5 visited Bentley Priory Museum in Stanmore. The trip built further on the children's existing knowledge of WW2. They participated in a museum tour, led by volunteers, where they were able to see replicas of the rooms located in Bentley Priory during the Battle of Britain. In the afternoon, the children took part in a practical activity where they acted as plotters, tellers and controllers, enacting the roles of the many men and women during the Battle of Britain. The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were able to see the importance of the Battle of Britain and how it ties into WW2 as a whole.
