Junk Orchestra Workshop

Year 4 had the exciting opportunity to take part in the Junk Orchestra workshop that was linked to our science topic of sound. The children were introduced to re-invented instruments made of junk materials. All the children had an opportunity to play a variety of instruments and they created rhythmic music by combining various instruments. They created their own bands and some children had the opportunity to become conductors. Some of the instruments that they played were made of household items and some of the instruments included; flip flops a-phones, shakers made of bottle lids, fire-bella phones and many, many more. It was lovely to see the children enjoying themselves and participating fully in the workshop. Seeing reinvented instruments has given the children inspiration to create their very own! Well done Year 4.
