May Bank Holiday Changed 2020

As some of you will already be aware, the national Bank Holiday has been changed for 2020. This is to mark the 75th anniversary of VE day, on Friday 8th May 2020. The news was announced on the government website on Friday 7th June 2019.

VE Day, or Victory in Europe Day, marks the day towards the end of World War Two when fighting against Nazi Germany came to an end in Europe.

The holiday will form part of a three-day weekend of commemorative events.

Please see the BBC news website for more information.

This means that school will be CLOSED on Friday 8th May, and OPEN on Monday 4th May 2020.
