The Daily Mile

This week we were delighted to see all the children back in school ready and raring to learn. Despite everyone's best efforts, we all know how hard it is to keep fit and active whilst in lockdown and learning remotely so, as a PE team our focus for the next few weeks is going to be on fitness and wellbeing.
One of the ways we are doing this is with the introduction of 'The Daily Mile' to all KS2 classes. The aim of The Daily Mile is to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances. The Daily Mile is a social physical activity, with children running or jogging – at their own pace – in the fresh air with friends. The children who have taken part in the Daily Mile this week have really enjoyed being outside in the fresh air and having this chance to be active. Please visit the PE page on dB Primary for more information.
