It is always best to try and walk to school, to reduce pollution, encourage our children to take exercise, and cut down on the traffic on our roads. We do realise that some parents do need to drive to school in the morning, and it is not always possible to walk every day. We do ask that wherever possible, cars used are parked away from the immediate vicinity of the school, and families walk the last part of the journey. It is very important that all drivers are mindful of the needs of the local community, and park safely and considerately; this would mean avoiding stopping in the road and holding up traffic, avoiding blocking driveways of others, and never letting children out of the car before finding a safe place to park. We thank you for your co-operation and support in this matter. The safety of our pupils is paramount – the reputation of the school is also very important!
