Year 5 Residential and Non residential trips

Our Year 5 residential group had a wonderful time at Sayers Croft. Each day was filled with a wide range of activities including a stream study, pond dipping and natural art. Pupils also enjoyed orienteering, shelter building and caving. In the evenings, pupils further explored the fantastic outdoor areas by singing songs around a campfire and participating in a night walk focused on nocturnal animals. We would like to say a huge well done to our pupils for their exemplary behaviour whilst away from school and home and thank you to the staff, parents and carers.

The children in Year 5, who took part in the non-residential, had a fun-filled few days. They began the week at the Welsh Harp, where they were provided with inspirational learning, outside of the classroom. The children took part in: pond dipping, a mini-beast hunt, woodlands walk, shelter building and they even built their own bug hotel! The next few days consisted of a whole range of exciting activities which included: archery, team challenges, nature inspired art activities and they finished off the week by making a delicious vegetable pizza and fruit salad.
