Year 6 visit to Metro Bank

Over the last few weeks the Metro Bank have been visiting two of the Year 6 classes to educate them all about money sense, budgeting and saving. The Year 6 children have found it very interesting and have learnt lots of new vocabulary including: ATM, safety deposit, interest and bank vault.
For our final session, we were invited to Metro Bank in Edgware to see these things in real life. We saw the ‘Magic Money Machine’ which counts your loose coins for free and their special printer which can print you a new bank card in minutes! They even let us look inside their bank vault where people keep their safety deposit boxes!
It was a lovely experience and 6 Pebble and 6 Platinum were even lucky enough to meet ‘Metro Man’, who gave all the children a Metro Bank goody bag and Money Box to help kick-start their saving!
