OFSTED

Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in July 2026.

The report is a wonderful reflection of the high-quality education, care and opportunities that children experience every day at Stanburn. Inspectors were particularly impressed by our pupils' high levels of achievement, noting that outcomes are consistently well above national averages. They highlighted the significant progress pupils make from their starting points and recognised the strong outcomes achieved by disadvantaged pupils and pupils with SEND. Our inclusive culture was celebrated, with inspectors recognising that staff know pupils exceptionally well and work closely with families to ensure that every child is supported to reach their potential. The report also highlights the nurturing approach to children's wellbeing and the high aspirations we hold for every pupil.

Our ‘5 for Five’ programme received particular recognition as an important part of our wider personal development offer. Inspectors praised the extensive opportunities available to pupils through trips, clubs, performances, sport, music, leadership opportunities and cultural experiences, describing these as purposeful and impactful. Most importantly, inspectors found that pupils thrive at Stanburn. They described children as polite, respectful and courteous, proud to be part of the school and able to flourish in an environment where they feel safe, included and valued. They also recognised our calm, purposeful and respectful culture, the positive relationships between staff and pupils, and the many opportunities children have to develop as confident, resilient and compassionate individuals.

The report is a fantastic testament to the ambition, dedication and care of the whole Stanburn community and to the many wonderful experiences our children enjoy every day.
