Physical Education

Physical Education at Stanburn Primary School is taught through dance, athletics, gymnastics, swimming and outdoor games. The curriculum is engaging and focuses on the development of skills which then progresses to the application of them through a variety of sports. Through many varying experiences, pupils are given the opportunity to 'Believe, Achieve, Succeed'. Throughout the year, children have the opportunity to compete in school competitions, and attend events which enable them to showcase their strengths and talents.

Importance of Sport

We believe strongly that physical education (P.E.) is a vital part of children's growth and school experience. Stanburn Primary School provides an exciting and varied PE curriculum combining indoor and outdoor teaching. We focus on developing team, communication, and problem solving skills as well as instilling an enthusiasm for physical exercise.
